SHOWCASING THE VERY BEST ART
IN THE NORTH
After the success of the Great North Art Show 2013 we are now inviting contemporary professional and emerging artists, painters, printmakers, photographers and sculptors to submit work for the Exhibition 2014.
In addition we are holding a small exhibition promoting the ‘Art of Portraiture in the North’ and we are therefore inviting portrait artists with northern connections to submit samples of their work of which two will be selected.
There is a standard participation fee of £65 and plenty of publicity for all artists selected. The selection process which applies to both portraiture and artists submitting to the main exhibition will take place in the middle of May. Closing date for the submissions is the 1st May 2014.
Once again, we are holding a Mystery Picture sale for charity and hope you will enjoy taking part by donating one or two small sketches, studies, paintings, prints or etchings for this very popular “side show” at the Exhibition. If you have any queries please use the contact form .
This year we will be offering three prizes of up to a £1000 which will be presented on the night of the preview, Friday 29th August.
