Stephen's love of the northern landscape shines through his paintings. Light and shade, dramas of distance and colour. Simply stated topographical features, watercolour and gouache worked instinctively allowing the painting to develop in its own way. A fusion of artist, media and landscape.

Recently Stephen has been translating his watercolour style onto canvas using acrylic paints which offer different qualities of colour and texture.

Stephen is a professional artist who lives and works in Pateley Bridge and has exhibited at Ripon Cathedral many times. He works to commission and for gallery exhibitions.
