Artists Have Been Selected for the
2013 Great North Art Show
All the artists have been selected for this year’s Exhibition, and full details are on the Artists’ 2013 page. They form an exciting combination of painters, photographers and a sculptor, and over 250 examples of their work will be shown in the magnificent setting of Ripon Cathedral between 31st August and 22nd September.
Everything on show is for sale at realistic prices, including mini-pics from £40.
This is an exhibition not to be missed, and you are invited to the Preview on 30th August, sponsored by Charles Stanley. The delightful David Nobbs, the famous author, speaker and writer, will be with us to present the £1,000 prize kindly donated by Carter Jonas for the best body of work which will be judged during the evening.
In addition schoolchildren from North Yorkshire have taken part in competitions to design a Christmas card for the Cathedral, and a card for everyday notes. There will be a selection of their entries on show.
Piers Browne, the well-known Dales artist, has kindly donated one of his paintings for us to raffle and you can buy a raffle ticket through this website.
